This appointment is an important step forward, leading the way for a more inclusive and captivating cultural experience to enhance Pathways Togethers’ cultural program offering with adults and youth. “We can produce and teach arts and crafts, how to make Aboriginal implements and timber furniture, native plant propagation, and the design and construction of native gardens, yarning circles and even custom trailers,” explains Rob. “A key goal is to provide services to assist Aboriginal males to be strong role models for younger people in the community and to provide a facility to ensure culture is shared and passed down to future generations.

“It is a chance for their legacy to endure for generations to come, allowing them to make their mark on the world by protecting the values of their ancestors. Let us see this appointment as an opportunity to help protect these important aspects of Aboriginal identity and culture,” says Rob. Kevin Anderson, the Minister for Lands and Water, announced that Pathways Together Aboriginal Corporation will be leading efforts to enhance Aboriginal outcomes from Crown land. This appointment is a significant step towards strengthening and supporting the Indigenous community’s welfare. “The NSW Government is committed to working with Aboriginal communities to unlock multiple benefits from Crown land including economic, social, cultural and environmental outcomes and the protection of cultural heritage,” Mr Anderson said.
Overall, Pathways Together celebrates the appointment as a historic step forward and one that will benefit current and future generations.

It is a rewarding opportunity that will enable youth to develop meaningful cultural connections while advancing Pathways Togethers’ efforts to responsibly care for Country with adults and youth alike.
